WOONSOCKET, Mass. (WLNE) — The Woonsocket Fire Department said that a 3 alarm fire on Dec. 20 displaced six families.

The department said the fire began on the second floor of a residence on Grove Street before moving to the third floor.

The building was not considered a total loss but was not livable immediately after the fire.

Firefighters added that two cats died in the fire.
