Wildlife consultants weighed in Monday after a whole bunch of 1000’s of dragonflies swarmed a seashore in Rhode Island over the weekend. 

The incident occurred on Misquamicut Seashore on Sunday and was captured on video as beachgoers sought cowl from the dragonflies. 

Talking with reporters, dragonfly skilled Ginger Brown mentioned this was not a typical migration, saying the bugs had been probably trying to find a brand new dwelling. 

“They’re flying for some purpose,” Brown mentioned, “both excessive inhabitants density, or modifications in aquatic breeding habitat.”
