CRANSTON, R.I. (WHDH) – A big fireplace broke out at an Applebee’s restaurant in Cranston Wednesday morning.
Heavy flames and smoke could possibly be seen on the web site. Firefighters responded to the scene round 5:30 a.m.
Those that stay close by stated fireplace alarms have been going off of their properties because of the smoke.
The roof of the restaurant was destroyed by the fireplace.
Metropolis officers stated they consider the trigger was a grease fireplace within the kitchen.
No accidents have been reported.
