PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WHDH) – A Fall River man was sentenced to jail in early April after authorities discovered he had a ghost gun, a big capability journal, and cocaine at a house in Lincoln, R.I. final 12 months, in keeping with the Rhode Island Lawyer Normal’s workplace.
David Stuart, 33, was given seven years in Rhode Island state jail after pleading nolo contendere on April 2 to his fees, the workplace stated in a press release.
He was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a ghost gun, possession of a firearm by a fugitive from justice, and possession of a giant capability journal.
In March 2023, Massachusetts authorities requested Rhode Island police to seek out Stuart, as he was thought-about a “violent fugitive,” the assertion stated. He was arrested that month after leaving a house on Previous River Highway in Lincoln.
Investigators seized two baggies of cocaine from Stuart and later returned to the house to conduct a court-authorized search, the assertion stated. There, police discovered a .40 caliber semi-automatic ghost gun, a big capability journal, and $2,600 in money, in keeping with the assertion.
A ghost gun is a privately made, unregistered, and untraceable firearm.
