PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WHDH) – Crews battled a hearth at a church in Windfall Wednesday, based on the Windfall Fireplace Division.
Almost 50 firefighters labored to extinguish the flames at Affect Heart Windfall Church on Elmwood Avenue, officers stated. The steeple and a part of the roof collapsed.
Fireplace officers stated the constructing’s outdated, picket building, mixed with robust winds, made the firefight difficult.
