PORTSMOUTH – A Burrillville man was arrested on Monday by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Job Drive for allegedly soliciting a minor who lives in Portsmouth.
Michael Collins, 56, was taken into custody at his dwelling in Harrisville for a felony cost of indecent solicitation after police say he initiated inappropriate contact with the 14-year-old.
Police say they obtained on-line communications between Collins and the sufferer throughout an investigation by the Portsmouth Police Detective Division.
Collins was arraigned in 2nd Division District Court docket and launched on $5,000 surety bail. He’s prohibited from having contact with minors or utilizing the web, smartphones, and computer systems.
