COVENTRY, RI — Throughout Tuesday’s Coventry City Council assembly discussing two councilmen’s resignations, Solicitor Stephen Angel instructed an indignant crowd that a kind of two, Dist. 5 Councilman Scott Copley, threatened to “cranium fuck,” Council President Hilary Lima.

Lima stated she fears for her security, and requested for a restraining order towards Copley.

Lima stated she realized of the risk after police contacted her whereas she was out of state.

“I didn’t even know what that meant. I needed to have somebody clarify to me what that meant,” Lima stated, including “I used to be instructed by the police officer that Copley tried to threaten me to not file a restraining order as a result of it might be made public and would embrarrass her.

“I hope that none of you, notably ladies, are ever topic to one thing like this,” Lima stated.

Nevertheless, two ladies within the crowd loudly mocked Lima as she recounted her response to the risk and likewise mocked Councilwoman Alisa Capaldi when she expressed concern for her personal security. Different members of the viewers chastised the hecklers, asking how they’d really feel in the event that they have been in Lima’s footwear.
