YOU MUST HAVE A TOWN OF NEW SHOREHAM SHELLFISH LICENSE TO CLAM IN THE WATERS OF BLOCK ISLAND
We work 12 months spherical to offer a viable, renewable clamming useful resource. Our guidelines and laws are to learn each clammers and the shellfish. Our conservation and seeding efforts are to make sure the provision of this useful resource sooner or later. Please respect the Nice Salt Pond and its fragile ecosystem.
Our wardens patrol the grounds day by day and implement all ordinances and laws in accordance with Rhode Island Basic Legislation 20-1-30 and City Ordinance Article lV Part 9 121-148.
