WARWICK, RI — Warwick Police urge excessive warning with black market marijuana after a 27-year-old lady died after utilizing unregulated marijuana laced with fentanyl.

The lady  was discovered unresponsive within the metropolis, after utilizing marijuana that was not bought from a licensed dispensary, in keeping with a press release by Warwick Police.

“Regardless of lifesaving efforts, she was pronounced deceased. Preliminary investigation signifies that the marijuana was contaminated with fentanyl, a robust artificial opioid that may be deadly even in small quantities,” Warwick Police reported within the announcement Thursday afternoon.

Warwick Police Department detectives are investigating the supply of the substance and urge the general public to train excessive warning when buying or utilizing black market marijuana.
