Burrillville police arrest Chepachet fugitive from justice after trail ride gone wrong

BURRILLVILLE – A person who was reportedly too intoxicated to drive his car out of the Burrillville woods was arrested after police discovered he had been concerned in a home incident and was needed on a nationwide, extraditable warrant out of Connecticut.

Robert Connors, 29, of Chepachet was charged with home felony assault, reckless driving and eluding, fugitive from justice, willful trespass, two counts of threats to public officers, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct on Thursday, June 5, in response to a launch from the Burrillville Police Division.

Col. Stephen Lynch stated that police had been dispatched to the  Munyon Path space in Pascoag for a topic misplaced at roughly 11:42 p.m. Thursday night. Officers searched the closely wooded space and had been in a position to find the feminine calling social gathering, who suggested that her boyfriend was intoxicated and unable to drive the car out of the world, and as they had been trying to get to the primary highway, the car turned caught.

Connors reportedly was confrontational with police, threatening to officers and their households. 

“He was taken into custody and it was decided {that a} home incident had additionally taken place simply previous to police arrival,” the discharge famous. “It was additional decided that Connors was needed on a nationwide, extraditable warrant out of Connecticut for being a Fugitive from Justice.”

Connors was held in a single day on the Burrillville Police Division and transported to sixth District Courtroom Friday morning.
