Chepachet Grange presents Community Service Awards

GLOCESTER – The Chepachet Grange held their annual Group Service Award Night time on Tuesday, June 3 below the route of Group Service Chairperson Marie Robidoux.

Melissa Bouvier, director of the Glocester Senior Middle obtained the Grange’s Citizen of the 12 months Award. Bouvier can also be a founding member of the Glocester Village Frequent and sits on the group’s Steering Committee.

The Grange named Fogarty Memorial Elementary Faculty instructor Jessica Warren their 2025 Instructor of the 12 months.

The group’s group award went to the St. Vincent dePaul Society of St. Eugene Church in Chepachet, with presentation to members Melanie Catineault, Donna Wyatt, Wesley Wyatt, Cheryl Previte, Camille Bucci and Nicole Previte.

Roy Shippee of the South Foster Volunteer Fireplace Firm was named Firefighter of the 12 months, and Lt. Jeffrey Jenison of the Glocester Police Division was named Legislation Enforcement Officer of the 12 months. Jenison, who has labored for the division since 2004, was additionally a nominee for the Rhode Island Particular Olympics Elwood Johnson Excellent Service Award this 12 months, and was acknowledged by america Legal professional for the District of Rhode Island for excellent contributions to public security in 2024.

Along with the Grange honors, Councilor Stephanie Calise introduced citations to every of the awardees, in addition to the group, from the Glocester City Council.

All awardees have been additionally given a present and a plaque from the Grange.

The Grange additionally honored Marie and Dennis Robidoux, the house owners of White Rock Motel, with their 50-year pin, signifying the couple’s years of being concerned with the group.

The awards night time additionally included a particular presentation from the Rhode Island State Youth Grange. The group held a walk-a-thon in Chepachet and raised $1,700, which was introduced to Jennifer Grundy, animal management officer on the Glocester Animal Shelter.
