Do you hear the bells? Right this moment, Monday, April 21, is the day that communities throughout the Blackstone Valley ring within the nation’s semiquincentennial, memorializing the “shot heard around the world” on the battles of Lexington and Harmony that started the American Revolution. At 1 p.m., establishments throughout the area, together with the Slatersville Congregational Church, will ring their bells for 2 and a half minutes.
At 5:30 p.m., the church at 25 Green St. will also host a program – free and open to the public – to mark the event with speakers, music, lanterns and more.

Clear & Inexperienced Day
The Clear & Inexperienced Day Committee has introduced that North Smithfield’s annual town-wide cleanup will happen on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to midday. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at City Corridor at 83 Inexperienced St., the place volunteers will choose up t-shirts, provides and placement assignments, and luxuriate in espresso and doughnuts.

Contact-a-truck
Wright’s Dairy Farm at 200 Woonsocket Hill Highway will host a Contact-a-Truck occasion on Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with tractor rides, face portray and extra. The Scoop Store will open for the season and friends could have an opportunity to see the cows.

Pickleball & tennis
North Smithfield Parks & Recreation Division’s pickleball and tennis packages start this week, with each to happen on the North Smithfield Excessive Faculty tennis courts.
Tennis begins on Thursday, April 24 with a six week session for newcomers from 6 to 7:15 p.m. and intermediate gamers from 7:15 to eight:30 p.m. with Coach Diana Adamczyk.
Pickleball might be held on Sundays beginning on April 27 from 4 to six p.m. for 4 weeks by June 1.

Music making workshop
Slatersville Congregational Church at 25 Inexperienced St. will host Making the Magic of Music workshop on Sunday, April 27 from midday to 1:30 p.m. Study and expertise what goes into getting ready and performing music throughout worship service. Choir Director Ropi Jr. and Handbell Director Jill Boday will lead guests in demonstrations and actions. All are welcome to attend and take a look at singing a track and ringing a bell. No prior musical expertise is required.
